Kelsey Menard is a Junior Environmental Chemist with SEM based in St. John's, NL. Kelsey graduated in 2021 with a Master of Science in physical chemistry from Memorial University. Her research in academia focused on the structures and reactions of neonicotinoids to better understand the ion-molecule chemistry of neurotoxic insecticides. She has extensive knowledge in the areas of mass spectrometry and ion spectroscopy. Kelsey has previous experience as a Laboratory Technologist, working in a seaweed research lab and an environmental biomonitoring lab. Her passion for the environment means her spare time is taken up enjoying outdoor activities like, hiking, camping, & kayaking, and that passion led her to join SEM's Team. Here she spends her days elbows deep in research, compiling data, and writing reports to support all our clients.
