Rachel Holub is an aquatic biologist with SEM based in St. John’s, NL. Rachel completed her BSc in marine and freshwater biology and her MSc in integrative biology studying sea lamprey at the University of Guelph. Following her graduation, she has studied a diverse range of marine organisms and environments. Her extensive work experiences have included database management, project lead, and support technician for marine mammals, crab surveys, invasive species control programs, and offshore training. From dissecting seals to operating a marine egress training simulator, Rachel brings a breadth of education, experience, and enthusiasm to every project with SEM.
Outside of work, Rachel is passionate about travelling, kayaking, knitting, and learning new hobbies every opportunity she gets. She is currently testing how late in the year she can swim in the ocean before she freezes and brushing up on her French.
